O’Grady V Luttrelstown

Our second match, V Luttrelstown on Monday 9th June 2025 - 3 away and two at home.

Away Match

We headed out to Luttrelstown knowing that we had to win at least one match but preferably two. We knew we had a very strong team and were confident we could achieve that.

1st Pairing - David Jones and Shona Leydon

This match got off to a tense start with lots of ups and downs through the front 9. It went 3 down though 9. David & Shona dug deep and stayed patient came right back and managed to get the match back to all square and halved the match on 18 .

2nd Pairing - Noel O’Halloran & Odette O’Dea

Noel & Odette lost the first, went all square on 2nd , and turned 1 up. They then showed no mercy and were relentless in hammering the opposition on the 15th with a resounding victory.

3rd Pairing – Captain Larry Brennan & Sarah Gallagher

Captain Larry and Sarah had a very tight match for the front nine, going all square at 9. Again Captain in his true Leadership spirit, dug deep and himself and Sarah played magnificent golf with impressive drives managing to putt so well, that they finished the match on the 16th.

To say we are delighted with such a resounding victory on a big course against a very good team is an understatement and augers well for the semi final. Next stop semi finals V Beaverstown to be played July 5 th 3pm. All support would be greatly appreciated!
